The Law of Malignant Enlightment

Our friend Et Tu Brute’ early Friday morning showed his wisdom on how the passage of ObamaCare would be greatly altered over time by the Law of Unintended Consequences. Following Brute’s post it was truly amazing how often this generally undefined law was mentioned in the world of more traditional news media and commentary. This was generally rebutted by a more liberal response, “Yah, but, just wait until it takes effect and everyone understands this evolving opportunity.” The definition of opportunity left to those less infected (sic).
Cutting through all the composting entropy, the rhetoric revolves basically around two mutually exclusive loci. A traditional or conservative spin states, “With the passage of ObamaCare the path to mutually assured destruction has been coated with black ice.” On the other side, now spun in the leftist or liberal construct, “America has now reached Beulah Land and the shining eternal city is just across the Serendipity Plain.”
Furthermore a little research into the Law of Unintended Consequences shows that the abstract is probably the best usage, since in that form the law can be used whenever one would like to make a point without really needing to rely on any points at all. “Essentially, in time the spectrum of unintended consequences will become clear, and I am just focusing on a few that fit my talking points, for talking points after all, is why I make the big bucks.”
Along that line, the talking points tend to focus on specifics of the actual ObamaCare bill such as, its size, cost, repeal, or replace, the list being very vendor specific. What all this tends to show is that the shallow shortsightedness that gave us the bill in the first place, will be used in the opposite direction to make it much better. With all these ignored, but now so plainly unforeseen and unintended consequences so apparent, the truth seems to be that ObamaCare must either be in its current form, created through intelligent design, or something, or some other unseen natural law must be working its magic.
This brings us to a more refined, contemporary, and previously undiscovered natural law: The Law of Malignant Enlightenment. Departing from the unintended law, we shall briefly define the Law of Malignant Enlightenment and then give three examples on how the law allows its applications to reach beyond the specifics of ObamaCare and touch the universal attributes that can be altered to achieve positive results in a world of limited resources and unlimited possibilities.

The Law of Malignant Enlightenment is the designed synergy of arrogance, inverse transcendency, and evolving entropy, which bring about self devouring reactions to sustainable objectives and actions. In less natural philosophic terms, everything we naturally attempt to make work, is negatively altered beyond its inspired intent. Leaving you to supply your own words to the Vice President’s ObamaCare expletives, The big — deal, ends up being — up!
In his State of the Union Address, the President arrogantly stated that he disagreed with the Supreme Court’s decision on Corporate contributions to political campaigns, right in front of most of the assembled justices and a television audience around the world. At my latest count nineteen states are in the process of challenging ObamaCare on various constitutional grounds, most of those revolving around the Tenth Amendment and the commerce clause. Now those numbers and there sources are a pretty significant challenge to much of the funding of ObamaCare and to even the basis of our current twentieth century understanding of federalism.
The Supreme Court in its current makeup, is essentially center right politically, pretty much aligned with the general politics of the nation. The general politics of the nation don’t have much enthusiasm for anything concerning ObamaCare. Could a Supreme Court decision be influenced by Malignant Enlightenment? No matter how the results of these specific cases are eventually determined, combined with our next example, through the Law of Malignant Enlightenment, states rights will be increased through cancerous actions taken by the Federal Government.
Moving beyond any direct conflict between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the federal government, most of the expansion of ObamaCare comes through Medicaid, or our current medical aide to the poor, without other healthcare insurance. After a very brief funding of this program from Washington, those costs will become the responsibility of the states. What happens if the states not only say they can’t afford it, but they really can’t afford it, and are unwilling to increase taxes to pay for these federally mandated programs.
So what is the alternative other than invoking the Law of Malignant Enlightenment and discarding the Obamacare program? The alternatives would get stupendously ugly, exceedingly rapidly, and the results would essentially destroy the concept of the United States, as it is viewed not only internally but externally.
This brings us to the most significant application of the Law of Malignant Enlightenment and that is the national and international financial situation. The whole thing is totally screwed up and all the current solutions do nothing to address the problem in which big is always better, hence the best is a global solution, which is really cancer in the extreme.
Here we see blind arrogance, believing in nothing but the natural, defining simple and random acts as ever ascending progress. The corollary statement that the world and all that is in it was designed, constructed, and energized by Divine Providence. This corollary statement could never be true, for that means, we are not masters of our own destiny and therefore when it comes to the grand design of the whole shebang, we are pretty entropic, not really as smart as our primitive ancestors. That surely is a big deal.
Put quite bluntly, until we are willing, to take off our rose colored glasses and look realistically at how God designed, constructed, and energized the universe, things will continue to be increasingly fouled up. Those are just the results of the natural law of Malignant Enlightenment.
